Countdown
to Gold Coast

There were a couple of times when he moved in his seat and I
took advantage of the opportunity to place my elbow on the arm
rest, hence, finally having that half comfortable feeling.
This
was only to be short lived though, for once he assumed position
he would knock my arm to the side and diligently arrive back at
the middle of the arm rest again.
He actually spoke to me
This
continued for the entire flight and to add insult to injury,
after the plane landed he released his seat belt with such force
that his left hand continued to travel in my direction,
collecting inertia along the way, and finally greeted the right
side of my body with a thump. "Sorry Mate," I heard. Wow! he
actually spoke to me.
Later that day (and this is how crazy my mind works) I managed
to correlate my experience with the SHB traveler with running.
I realised later that I had given in to him
The
weaker side of me emerged and I gave in to this character.
Achieving your goals in running has a great deal to do with not
giving in. Not giving in to the weaker side which is in all of
us. That voice in your head that tells you that you are almost
red lining it, to slow down or maybe even stop.
